Walking through the halls of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) here in Los Angeles, it’s clear that the world of gaming entertainment continues to grow bigger every year. We’ve heard loud and clear from customers like you that now, more than ever, you’re spending your free time getting your entertainment from gaming hardware and software.
That’s why Best Buy has announced new services and programs to better get you, the gamer, the gaming news you want, as well as another way to help you spend your hard earned gaming dollar better.
With all the new gaming titles announced at E3, you’re probably already figuring out next month’s budget. Thanks to an upcoming Best Buy game trade-in program, you can use that shelf full of games you’ve already beat to help pay for that new gaming goodness.
Right now, you can already get trade-in credit by mail for your existing game titles through BestBuy.com. Coming in late summer, you’ll be able to stop into your local Best Buy and hand over your old games for instant Best Buy gift cards that you can use on anything in the store, including hot new game releases or even other pre-owned games. Stay tuned for more info!
This month marks the launch of Best Buy’s official gaming magazine: @Gamer. Filled with the latest gaming news, information, previews, tips and more, the @Gamer magazine will be a great resource for both hard-core and casual gamers. You’ll also help your gaming budget with money-saving offers for Best Buy Reward Zone Gaming Club members in every issue.
You’ll be able to pick up individual issues of @Gamer magazine in your local Best Buy, or get issues delivered directly to your home with an annual subscription. You can find more information at www.atgamermagazine.com
If you’re on the go, you can still get the latest gaming news, information and special offers through Best Buy’s Gaming App. Currently available for iPhone and Android (and Blackberry later this summer), this app makes it easy to access customer reviews, gaming news, and special offers for Best Buy customers wherever you go.
Our stores will also provide a new way to get gaming information while you shop with interactive touch screens that can provide information on the games you’re looking at, like game descriptions, ESRB ratings, reviews and more. You’ll even be able to pre-order upcoming games directly from the screen.
