EA has announced their upcoming lineup here at E3, and in the words of EA CEO, John Riccitiello “[These] are 10 great games, from 10 great programmers.”1 But, everyone knows the gamers will be the real judges of what games are great.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

EA went straight into overdrive showing off their newest version of Need For Speed, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. EA wanted to bring Need For Speed back to its roots: exotic cars, epic drives and hot pursuits.

With that being said, EA has incorporated some incredible features that will put the game miles ahead from Need For Speed games of the past. Now you can play through a full career of a racer and as a cop (with optional ‘stache). Below is a live example of how the new feature Autolog connects friends to play against one another.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is set to release, November 16, 2010

Dead Space 2

The second game EA featured was Dead Space 2. The Dead Space franchise has made a real name for itself and not only as a video game but an animated feature and comic series (don’t be surprised if Dead Space: The Musical hits Broadway sometime soon).

Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis told us more about how Dead Space 2 will keep you up all night playing… and fearing your gaming system.

Medal of Honor

Medal of Honor has always been synonymous with images of WWII, but for the first time in 11 years Medal of Honor will be set in a modern war environment (probably not too dissimilar to the Los Angeles Convention Center).

To highlight how truly social this game is, Sean Decker, General Manager, EA Los Angeles presented a live 24 person multiplayer demonstration. 24 monitors and gaming systems descended upon the stage as 24 gamers entered, and yes, it warranted all the pizzazz.

The multiplayer beta test will be available on June 21 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Then the game’s full launch will be on October 12, 2010.

Check out the multiplayer extravaganza below.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 – Vietnam (Expansion Pack) 2

Battlefield Bad Company has 5 million players and growing, so it’s no surprise EA is going to release a new expansion to keep gamers at bay as they undoubtedly develop Battlefield Bad Company 3.

The new expansion, Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam, is set to release this winter. The teaser is short and sweet, but whets any Battlefield player’s appetite fully (*burp*).

EA Sports: MMA

It’s E3 2009 and EA Sports President, Peter Moore, announces that they are “stepping into the cage” with a new franchise. Now one year later, we’re all a bit older and wiser (at least the former) and Peter Moore is back to officially announce the highly anticipated game EA Sports: MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

EA Sports: MMA incorporates many martial arts styles, locations and ring/cage types from around the globe that will keep the player interested and engaged. Plus, the level of detail and authenticity will surely not be lost.

MMA is a game that rewards consistency, timing and strategy, as opposed to fighting games of the past that relied on complicated button combinations. Gone are the days of → → ← ← kick ↑ punch → ← ↓ ↓. No word on whether there will be a “finish him” scenario… probably not.

Like most current games, you will also be able to play this game online. However, EA has brought online game play to the next level with EA Sports Live Broadcast. Live Broadcast will promote fights that are broadcasted live (not just a clever title) to thousands of homes and screens. It gives any player the ability to become a true celebrity. Create your own fighter, upload videos with your best smack talk, and if your fighter is selected, be prepared to fight live for fame and fortune, while real commentators analyze your actual moves. Broadcast Live could revolutionize the way online gaming is done.

EA Sports: MMA will be in stores October 19, 2010.

EA Sports: Active 2

Fitness games are no longer limited to the Wii system. EA Sports: Active 2 is going multi-platform (Wii, Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 with Kinect), online and wireless, making some great improvements to the extremely successful original, EA Sports: Active.

EA Sports: Active 2 is set to release November 16, 2010.

Madden 11

Perhaps, EA Sports’ most successful franchise, Madden football, is set to impress just as much as it always has with the upcoming release of Madden 11. Madden 11 is meant to be a simpler, quicker and deeper game flow than ever before, and just as professional football has evolved over the years, so has the Madden franchise (except for whoever does the play-by-play).

Pro football teams now use headsets and transmitters inside the helmet of their quarterback that connects directly to the coach. Madden 11 incorporates that part of the game in a fun new way that allows you to make plays not just calls.

But don’t take my word for it… here’s Hall of Famer/former Hanes underwear spokesman, Joe Montana.

The Sims 3

It’s hard to remember a time that The Sims did not take up hours and hours our real lives. Of course, EA is feeding our addiction once again, with the release of The Sims 3. The new and improved simulator gives the closest thing to simulated free will than ever before.

Crysis 2

The anticipated first person shooter game sequel with one enormous feature is Crysis 2. Crysis 2 is set in New York City with some of the most intelligent enemies you have ever faced.

Oh, and it will be in 3D. That’s right, a FPS 3D game! And it will be available on all three big platforms (Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & PC). Now clean up the drool and lift up that jaw. We’d love to show you the 3D presentation, but unfortunately, without proper 3D glasses, the 3D demo is like forgetting to wear your 20/400 prescription lenses. So instead, check out the 2D demo below:

Bulletstorm

Amongst all of the sequels and recognizable characters, EA does have a brand new game with a new cast of characters, new world and plotline to get immersed into. Bulletstorm is not a game you would like to play with your grandmother in the room due to all the potty mouth, but it certainly seems to fulfill the pulpy/sci-fi feel. Look for it February 22, 2011.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

To close out the show, representatives from LucasArts & BioWare showed off the latest Star Wars vehicle-Star Wars: The Old Republic. Like Oprah handing out cars, they announced every player will get their own starship. Players will get to choose Jedi or Sith, and you battle on warzones that will clearly remind you of battles from the films.

Check out the new trailer for the game below, and may the force be with you!

1 We counted 11 titles… I don’t know, you tell me.
2 This must be the one that doesn’t count as a real title since it’s an expansion.
